We are located in Boonton, NJ, a small but cultured town in the heart of Morris County and just 25 mile west of NYC. At Electric Lotus we pride ourselves in satisfying every customer with artistic expertise and a positive energy flow in a clean work environment, practicing all modern sterilization methods and techniques. With our well established, newly remodeled location and our collective experience in the industry we are able to bring you the absolute best in custom tattooing and precision body piercing.
The tattooing staff at Electric Lotus features: artist and owner Jae Connor, Don Perdue,
and Morgan Reed. Jae has been tattooing professionally for over 15 years. After getting started in NJ, Jae went on tattooing in Colorado, Florida and a few other places, mastering his craft and gaining insight and knowledge from other artists. He returned to New Jersey and opened Electric Lotus in 2000. Unbridled passion for cultural expression and well versed knowledge of eastern traditions and philosophies are reflected in Jae’s vibrant, bold and seemingly moving images. He is exceptionally passionate in all custom work, from traditional Americana to ancient Japanese motifs. Lifelong friend and fellow artist Don Perdue studied the trade under Jae and has now been tattooing professionally for over 8 years. With drops of European realism and hints of natural form, Don creates a masterful vortex where detail meets divinity. Both Don and Jae have studied the art of tattooing alongside a diverse group of fine artists throughout the industry, embracing the best techniques of each of them.
Our newest addition to the Electric Lotus family is Morgan Reed. Morgan began tattooing a little over 4 years ago in the great state of Tennessee. He spent the next few years marking the South Carolina population with his bold, solid twist on traditional tattoo designs. Morgan recently moved to NJ and joined us here at Electric Lotus where he continues to expand his vision of the old meeting the new in the tattoo realm. Electric Lotus also offers full service Body Piercing in a comfortable and private room. Piercing services are performed by Johnny McLaughlin who has been piercing professionally for over 13 years, and has also played a role in the development of piercing and sterilization techniques used throughout the industry today. We offer a wide selection of the best jewelry available, carrying a full line of 14k yellow, white and rose gold, Surgical Grade Steel and Titanium. For stretched areas and large gauge holes we have a large collection of glass, acrylic and organic horn, bone and wood. Custom orders are welcome on all styles of jewelry. We provide expert service in all body piercings and dermal anchoring along with all of your aftercare needs. Piercings are done on a walk in basis only.
